I am a physicist by training. My principal research interest is soft matter physics. Within this field, my current research projects focus on solvation thermodynamics of liquid mixtures, mechanical properties of highly cross-linked polymer networks and polymer in high geometric confinements. The applications are mainly in the field of understanding biological molecules and its interation with co-solvents, composite materials, surface coating, adhesives, and tribology.

I currently hold an appointment at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research Mainz, Germany. Prior to moving to MPI-P, I spent three years at the Army Material Center of Excellence, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Drexel University, Philadelphia USA.

Education

Ph.D. Physics (UWO Canada 2007)

M.Sc. Condensed Matter Physics (BHU India 2001)

B.Sc. Physics (BHU India 1999)
