We study soft matter surfaces and their interfaces with hard materials. Using x-ray scattering techniques we investigate liquids and macromolecules ranging from water to polymers for organic electronics. Our aim is to understand how solid-liquid and solid-solid interfaces influence the molecular scale structure and the material properties in confined systems.
